HOW MUCH TO FILL THE POD?
About 10,265 beans, to be exact! But to save time counting, we recommendĀ filling with approx. 65lt of beans (this is about 2/3 of a 100lt bag).Ā The Chibebe Snuggle Pod has been designed to give your baby the most restful, safe & comfortable experience possible. The amount of filling is at the discretion of the carer.
The Pod is designed for Bub to be able to take in their surroundings and be a part of your daily activities with you. Overfilling the Snuggle Pod will make the surface too flat, and Bub will be staring at the ceiling, not at you or their surroundings. Ceilings are boring, even cool ones with posters of Peppa Pig stuck on them get a little too much after a while.Ā
Make sure the seat is inclined, so Bub is sitting upright, with their head resting back on the pod. Imagine yourself sitting in an adult beanbag. If it is too full, like a pouffe, you can't fully settle in it, and you would likely roll off, right? But if it were not so full, you are all nestled in it, the base is flat on the floor so you can't roll out of it, and you probably need a hand getting off it! It's the same idea with the Snuggle Pod for babies.
Filling it so that Bub can sitĀ inĀ it, notĀ onĀ it, means they can chill out and look around and even watch Peppa and her cheeky friends on TV, and not the ceiling!
*Also, please remember this is not a sleep product. Babies should only use this product during awake time. The only safe place for a baby to sleep is on a firm, flat surface such as a crib or playplen.

my little one is 5 mth old with down syndrome, thyroid issues Liver and kidney problems reflux issues and currently in hospital and I have been at the hospital using it for feeds as he tube fed and finding this very helpful to keep his feeds down. I purchased the Hoot Snuggle Pod for my as-yet-unborn grandchild as a Christmas present last year. The owls are just gorgeous! Our beautiful girl arrived last Friday and loves to watch the world go by from the comfort of her own special raised-up seat. She has been using it since she was just four days old, and it's just perfect. She is snug, calm, secure and safe and loves to see everything that is happening around her from her semi-reclined position. Even though the pods are really easy to move from place to place, surely I can justify having two, as I adore the flamingo design as well - one for upstairs and one for downstairs?? ššš Highly recommend this product, very happy.
Great product
Got this for a four month old boy for his first visit at his grandparentsā place. After we got the right amount of beans in the pod, he instantly loves it! We can sit him out in the yard with us on a little picnic! Little bub weighs a hefty 8kgs now and this gives us a rest when weāre needing a break from constantly picking him up. His grandad and dad had to fill it up in the tub as it takes a bit of effort. Two people are needed to put the beans.
We love that it is light, versatile and easily washable after use. We highly recommend this as a great alternative to conventional rockers that cost a lot more and can only be used whilst baby is young. Whereas this one can be used beyond infant age.
